The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

This vacancy is advertised by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) on behalf of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA). Please note that the employer for this post will be the NHSCFA.

The NHSCFA is the national body responsible all for matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Aligned to the DH Health Group Counter Fraud strategy, the NHSCFA acts as the principal lead for the NHS and wider health group in counter fraud intelligence work.

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the National body responsible all for matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Aligned to the DH Health Group Counter Fraud strategy, the NHSCFA acts as the principal lead for the NHS and wider health group in counter fraud intelligence work.

The National Investigation Service within NHSCFA holds a national remit for investigating matters of serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption affecting NHS funds. The postholder will work as a senior investigator within a specialist team, including investigators, professional/medical personnel and administration staff within the National Investigation Service and operate within a strict legislative framework and in accordance with NHSCFA policies and procedures.

The postholder will have significant practical experience of investigating economic crime in either a specialist or non specialist field in a public or private sector organisation. They must be fully conversant with the requirements of PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other legislation governing the investigation and prosecution of criminal offences, and have technical and practical knowledge of fraud investigatory principles and practice, including the undertaking of criminal, disciplinary and civil sanctions
