IT is a critical enabler supporting front line policing, crime investigation and linking with partners such as the criminal justice service. We have now combined the expertise from both Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary into a single department servicing both forces.

Your task will be to provide expert Security Architecture advice to Technical Architects and Project Managers to ensure the implementation of pragmatic, cost-effective cyber security controls. You are required to identify technical information risks and propose improvements to management. You will need to find new and emerging technologies and evaluate how these can be used securely to improve communication. You will provide the initial response and management of IT Security incidents across both Forces.

All posts in Thames Valley Police require a level of Police Vetting as per National Policy.
